During our time in Spain you will experience an endless variety of regional products, something to please any food-lover's taste buds… savory local meats, the freshest fish and seafood from the nearby coasts, flavorsome fruits and vegetables from the vast farmlands, charcuterie and cheese from the mountains, not to mention the world-famous Sherry wines, or olives and olive oil… You name it, Andalusia has it. We will visit Seville, the capital of Andalusia and home of Ibérico Ham, Cordova where we will sample Spain’s finest olive oil, also pay a visit to Granada, Ronda, Malaga ending up in Gibraltar on our way to Exotic Morocco.
During our time in Morocco we will visit Casablanca, Morocco's largest city as well as its chief port, Marrakech at one time no more than a Berber camp behind high walls- now a vibrant city of over one million and home to the largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco, Tangier - where we will visit the former Sultan’s apartment now used by the Museum of Moroccan Arts and Fez - the ancient center of learning and culture. We will relax in the cool quiet of the Dar and enjoy a glass of mint tea, be given a lesson in Moroccan rugs from wool to spinning, dying and tying, we’ll visit palaces, residences and mosques for a rare look inside a disappearing way of life.
